Greyhound, or similar, bus. It takes about half a day.

Or, there are numerous flights throughout the day... takes about an hour and half.  Fare runs about $190, round trip...

this is probabaly completely irrelevant, because I guess it is nowhere near the cheapest way to do it. But if you rent a car a drive along it coast you get a experience for life. We did in two days, stopping along the way to see the sights, these included dolphins, seaotters, eagles etc, and it was absolutely beautiful!
