we had my husbands passport delivered this morning.
A man in a flash black car pulled up and put it in the letterbox and drove away.
We thought it would be delivered by recorded delivery?

didnt have to sign for it to check on safe delivery

My new passport dropped through the letterbox in January. I didn`t sign for it. I suppose they think that what with people being out at work, no passports would ever get delivered if they had to catch people at home to sign for it.
That happened to my friend and her puppy ate it and she then had to pay out for another one!! (after fixing a post box over her letterbox!)

hi 2372j. Thanks for your reply.
it seems that its the normal procedure then! I was just very curious as to it being delivered maybe in the wrong letterbox?
They would have checked the address to see that its the right house.

thanks again, have a good day
when the Indian Embassy returned my pals British passport with tourist visa in it by post, they had put her passport, her husband's passport and a third one of a complete stranger ! she managed to contact the person and he drove from Brum to Suffolk to collect in person rather than her send it back and it go astray again !
