Travelling to te USA with a criminal record

I was convicted or handling stolen goods 2 years ago And got sentenced 2 prison for 9 months I am in full-time employment since the age if 16 as a heating engineer and am wondering if I will be allowed to go on a 2 week holiday to Florida any help would be greatly appreciated

Legally you can't go without a visa from the Embassy which the probability is you won't get. With moral turpitude convictions and two jail sentences you don't stand an earthly for 10 to 15 years.

There are those who will tell you to apply for an ESTA, lie about your conviction and go anyway. You might get away with it, you might be escorted in handcuffs to the next plane home. Your decision.

He is using text speak so using "2" in place of "to", hence the confusion.

u wouldnt get in unless the conviction is on your record, eg: drink driving stays on for 11 years so after this time you could apply but with no guarantee

At any rate, if the OP goes through the correct channels by applying for a visa and filling in the criminal record section correctly, I'd say there's (next to) no chance of a visa being granted.

Similar questions to this have been posted many times in here, and some people have suggested lying on the ESTA application form because the US authorities have no means of accessing the UK's PNC... I'm pretty sure that in itself would constitute a crime so would be foolish in the extreme, especially with an existing criminal record...

I had a conviction for 'in charge of a vehicle whilst over the limit'. Sleeping in my car but not driving it. No disqualification but ten points on my license. This happened over four years ago. I had to apply to the American Embassy and had to undergo a medical, three months later I received my visa. In all it cost nearly £500. It was worth it, couldn't face the thought of being put on a plane home again.
