Why not come to East Anglia?

The Suffolk coast around the village of Dunwich is delightful, with The Ship getting generally good reviews:

However, like all hotels at Christmas, it's far from cheap. Quote:
"Christmas on the coast A truly relaxing three day break, arriving on Christmas Eve and includes evening meals, Christmas Lunch and of course breakfast everyday Good rooms £650.00 Best rooms £695.00 Rate is based on two people sharing a double room, supplements apply".

Or, if you're really 'pushing the boat out', the superb Hintlesham Hall (just down the road from me) is worth considering:

I don't even want to think of Christmas yet!
oooh hintlesham is lovely! Ive not stayed there but have been on a couple of paranormal investigations there, so can tell you that the rooms and suites ive seen are lovely, the food is great and the staff are wonderful.
I have heard Bovey Castle is very good, I think it is in Devon
