I am not familiar (AT ALL) with London; however, I need to get from Euston train station to Norbury train station (about 10 miles away) I have no idea how to get this, have no idea how the tube works, or anything .... it's all pretty scary and am after some help, desperatly, as currently, my only other option is to hire a cab which will cost £40 ! :(
Any help would be greatly appreciated
thank you

Go here: http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/

Enter Chester and Norbury in the From and To boxes, select the date and time of travel, and hit the button.

It appears that you can avoid the dreaded London interchange completely if you go via Milton Keynes...

From where are you travelling to Euston? There may be a way of avoiding London altogether.
Always ask where the nearest Tube station to anywhere is, as you can not get lost in London if you know that. I have all my holidays there, and go everywhere by Tube, which costs £25.80 for one whole week. Make sure you know which Zone this is in, as there are about 6 of them, and this Oyster card you will get also covers the buses as well.

You can get free Tube maps off the Internet or at any Tube stations. You should see them lying around everywhere.
37 minutes via Victoria station.
www.transportdirect.info gives all the options
Victoria Line from Euston to Victoria station and then train to Norbury.

For travel in London use tfl.gov.uk as it will give you all the different transport options, including teling you when walking's quicker.
If you want to avoid London there is a direct hourly service from Milton Keynes and Watford Junction (and major stations in between) to Norbury - no changes.

Many people around London are tourists and will be travelling there for the first time too. Everything is well signposted and if you need help people are very kind.

It shouldn't be any more difficult than catching the train at Chester - just follow the signs
