Has anyone used this service to fly from Luton to Budapest and back? The fares are so cheap, they are ridiculous. Must be a catch somewhere.

This is what Wizz say on their web site:

Wizz Air is a value oriented airline that focuses on innovation all along the way of the customer journey. The latest technology is deployed to ensure that the "Wizz Air experience" is outstanding in terms of service and value for money. Wizz Air offers a 'simple service model' which means:

ticketless travel
use of cost and time efficient secondary airports
single class all leather seat configuration
no seat assignment
catering on demand for extra payment

The fares listed are one way so you will have to add the LTN-BUD sector to the BUD-LTN one.

The prices do not include taxes which can add 60 or so to the cost of the ticket.

If you want any refreshments during the flight, you will have to pay (they can earn extra revenue in this way).

You will have to get yourself to Luton and back.

They may offer train or bus tickets from London to Luton and or transportation into Budapest (this is another way they can earn extra revenue).

We flew with them to Warsaw and they were fine. Much of a much-ness with EasyJet and any of the new-ish low cost airlines that are springing up.

The seats are comfy (leather) but quite squashed. I know you don't get a lot of leg room on most short-haul flights but I thought there seemed to be less leg room that average.

Prices for in-flight food/drink seemed pretty standard compared with other airlines, train companies etc - i.e. 1.50 for a cup of instant coffee/tea, 3.00 for a sandwich. However most flights are fairly short so it's easy to take your own food/drink  with you.

On the whole I'd say the service was effecient and functional, formal rather than friendly (not that the service was un-friendly or rude in any way simply more kind of correct/reservered)

I would have no hesitations in using Wizz Air again. The prices are cheap, the service effecient, as the phrase goes it 'does was it says on the can'! If it's not too difficult for you to get to Luton I should go for it!
