just found this on the Post Office site, if anyone is interested..
"Which countries am I covered for?
When you get a quote for your travel insurance you’ll need to select the area for the country or counties you intend to holiday in. This will mean you’re only paying for the cover you need.
The areas are:
UK –includes England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, and the Channel Islands
Europe -encompasses all European Union countries including Iceland, Ireland, some former Soviet Union countries, islands in the Mediterranean, Turkey, Israel, Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Madeira, the Azores, and the Canary Islands"
so Turkey is in Europe, for Post Office insurance purposes!
