Benidorm at Christmas.

We're going on holiday to Benidorm for a week over xmas. Has anyone been? Are the restaurants/Bars still open? We want to go self catering but i'm worried they'll be nowhere open on xmas day.

It's very busy at Christmas or it was when we went 3 years ago, most bars are open but we found the restaurants only opened at night so if you like your Christmas dinner in the day then you might struggle to find somewhere, have a look as soon as you get there and if you see a good offer then go in and book it, lots of people about but they seem to be full board at there hotels, we went room only and had a great time, weather was good, only had 1 bad day when it rained non stop but we had a laugh in our yellow pac-a-mac's which I bought for 1 euro, going to Majorca this Christmas.

Just remembered we went to Salou one Christmas and ended up having a pizza and chips on the prom for our Christmas dinner, it's all we could find but sitting in the sun made up for it, happy days.
