Apparently you have to buy a guide and it is too late in the week for that as I want to go tomorrow. This is their website which is a bit confusing and not easy to find anything (probably cos I havent paid !)

the guide is available free from your local library!
That's if you're in London. Outside London the Open House days are a week earlier (ie last weekend).
In London, go to this page

and click on the borough you want.

If you find one place that's open and go there, you may find them dishing out more free guidebooks. But if your library is open tonight or tomorrow, start there; they may have some left.
The guides are free every year and available from libraries from mid-August or thereabouts. If you order and pay for them online you get a head start on other people who want to book for popular venues (most sites don't need booking at all but a few do); but that's the only advantage to buying one.
