Hi visiting ny in dec Can anyone tell me the easiest and a reasonable way to get to queens. Taxi transfer seems extortionate and most shuttle buses seems only to go to manhatten Thanks

That maximum fare of $20 translates to just under £12.50 for a distance of about 10-12 miles....definitely a good price. NYC taxis are less than the UK equivalent.

I don't know personally but this page has lots of info

http://queens.about.c...rtation_Resources.htm

This page says taxis go up to $20, which doesn't sound too outrageous (if you're going from JFK)

There are lots of subway stations

Taxis to Manhattan from JFK
sorry, ignore that last line, meant to delete it

Hi we are coming from Newark and one taxi transfer quote was £257, Sorry should have said arrival was Newark Thanks
that's a fair bit...if you scroll down this page

http://www.citidex.com/20.htm#C4485

it lists shuttles from Newark to LaGuardia airport for $32, which is in Queens. Also to JFK in Brooklyn if your destination is nearer to that. Then you could take a cab, which should be rather cheaper.
