visiting new york
Hi visiting ny in dec Can anyone tell me the easiest and a reasonable way to get to queens. Taxi transfer seems extortionate and most shuttle buses seems only to go to manhatten Thanks

That maximum fare of $20 translates to just under £12.50 for a distance of about 10-12 miles.... definitely a good price. NYC taxis are less than the UK equivalent.

I don't know personally but this page has lots of info
http://queens.about.c...rtation_Resources.htm
This page says taxis go up to $20, which doesn't sound too outrageous (if you're going from JFK)

There are lots of subway stations

Taxis to Manhattan from JFK

that's a fair bit...if you scroll down this page

it lists shuttles from Newark to LaGuardia airport for $32, which is in Queens. Also to JFK in Brooklyn if your destination is nearer to that. Then you could take a cab, which should be rather cheaper.
