Does anyone know how long it takes to travel by ferry from newhaven to dieppe?

Is it really that long?  I once did it back in 1988 and thought it was more around 3 hours.

It's three hours one way and five with the time change, actually journey time is 4 hours unless you get caught in a force 9 and it takes 7 hours and you swear never to get on another ferry
