Niagara Falls

Am planning a trip to Niagara and am debating whether to stay in the city at the Falls or to stay outside, like Niagara-on-the-Lake for example. Has anyone any comments, suggestions etc?

Outside definitely. Niagara - except for the falls - is the pits. (Niagara on the Lake is nice).

Agree,Definitely outside,It.s just like Blackpool with a massive waterfall

assuming you have transport, stay outside town - less crowded.

Niagara-on-the-lake is definetely the place to stay without a doubt. Will be more expensive for sure but well worth it. (got the tee shirt) .

Niagara On The Lake is beautiful. I stayed in Toronto which really isn't that far away.
