Place to stay in Oxford overnight.
I have got to have tests at the John Radcliffe, probably some time next week. One test is dependent on the other but I've been told there is likely to be some hours apart, and one has to be conducted as early as possible in the morning.
As such I'm considering going down the day before and staying overnight rather than try to arrange transport (I'm 50 miles away) and am wondering if anyone has any suggestions or advice on where.
I've looked at premier inns and travelodge, but both are miles from the station and the hospital. Obviously I've seen other places in the search nearer but I'm just wondering if anyone has personal recommendations. Ta muchly.

Just up the road was a Park and Ride into Oxford - perfect, no parking fees and we used our senior citizens' bus passes so cost nothing!

We stayed at Rewley House in Dec 2010 - it was very warm and comfortable during that very bitter winter.

we didn't use their dining facilities as there are so many round and about eg full English on the market, a short walk away.
We used the Seacourt park and ride which was for some reason free at the time - doubt it still is http://www.parkandrid...ford_parkandride.html
