removing hijab going through customs

I've been told when I go through customs I will have to remove my hijab is this right? I dont have it on in my passport photo so i look totally different. I also was told that i could have a passport photo wearing it, is this right?

Im not bothered either way but if i know i have to remove it i can chuck a pull on one on to save messing about tying it all up again.

As the the face is fully exposed I don't see a problem.

Go prepared to remove, pdust - if you do have to, then it will be woman to woman for the inspection. You may have a shoe inspection as well.

As to biometrics, the probable issue is the ability to wear a contact that disguises the "natural print" of the eye.

I once when through passport control behind someone wearing a burka (her friend just had a hijab). We had to wait until a woman passport control officer could come to indentify her face as she refused (as is comprehensible!) to show the male officer.

hi bednobs... hijab actually means modesty in what you are wearing, how you are behaving etc but usually it means like ummm said
