My daughter and I are travelling out to Thailand in June. Spend a few hours now looking at flights and Travelsupermarket seems to offer the best prices and flexibility. Does anyone have any recommendations?
We travelled with Eva Air to Bangkok last year, we found them excellent, up to date films, the tv screens in front of you. Thai Air is lovely but the entertainment woeful, inless they've updated their planes. Can't help with prices except to say that a package holiday was much cheaper than going independent.
I flew Heathrow - Bangkok with Thai Airways and found them very good. Crew were great, food excellent, they kept plying us with wine! I watched a few films (on a big screen, rather than on wee individual personal screens) and that helped passed the time.
If you're planning on doing any travelling within Thailand or surrounding countries, Air Asia is worth a look, they're a budget airline, but reliable, in my experience.
A friend of mine travels a lot to Thailand, he uses KLM, from Man UK to Amsterdam then from there to Bangkok, prices I'm not sure, but he will find the cheapest.
Eva Air if your doing it in one straight through flight or Emirates if you want to split it up with a break in Dubai.
Travelled both airlines with no problems.
Thanks all for your suggestions. Found a good price with lastminute.com: Oman Air from Heathrow to Muscat, then change to Bankok. Same route to come back. Reasonable departure/arrival times and approx 15hrs journey time...
