Which are of the country are you thinking of? And what kind of place? City? Countryside? Seaside? Self catering? Hotel? Holiday park?
Give us something to work with!
how much is your budget?
Grandma's?
Most schools are taking the week beginning 4th June for half-term this year (due to the Late Spring Bank Holiday being moved).

That means that there are some real bargains for the minority of families who have still got the traditional half-term week available to them.

So please don't gasp in horror when I suggest Butlins. (I thought that I'd hate it but it's great when you've got kids with you. You can enjoy the cheap bits and simply disregard the tackier bits!).

For example, Bognor Regis:

My son and his wife take their two young children to Haven Holidays at Ayr. It was a Butlins in a past life but has been given a facelift. Kids love it, loads of freedom to run around and loads to do. They've been there 5 times so they would certainly recommend it.
centre-parcs. my girls have always loved it there
I'd also suggest Butlins if you have children
Always something to do including evening entertainment
And I agree with Beunchico! Lucky you having the week off BEFORE the rest of us who will have to pay double
