Holiday booked to Greece, quite worried!
Hi
I'm going away with friends to Greece, and rather naively let them book it without consulting me. They don't follow current affairs quite as well as me, and I did voice my concerns when it was booked back in March.
Now there is a very real chance of Greece going bankrupt and being kicked out of the single currency. My question is, what happens if I'm out there and this happens while Im there? What type of currency, ie Euros or Amex travellers cheques, credit card, etc should I use?
im in two minds to put my foot down and insist on a switch of destination, im in the dark with this and thomson arent giving an answers, they said they don't know what is best...

look unless your going to athens the political situation will not affect you-i guess our going to one of the beach resorts or islands and as it stands they are full of tourists right now. the euro is accepted, and currency does not just dissapear over night itis phased out, stop worrying and have a good time!
