If I required Dental Treatment whilst in France on holiday for a week, is this covered by the Health Card or what and what charges would I be looking at for say a filling or temporary repair. Thanks for any relies.
The EHIC site says
Q. What cover does the EHIC provide?
A. You will be eligible for treatment provided by the state healthcare scheme in the country you are visiting. Repatriation costs are not included. For more complete information, please visit www.dh.gov.uk/travellers.
if you are concerned that you may have a problem with your teeth while away, there is a product I noticed in the chemist the other day, which can be used as a temporary filling etc, the only trouble is I was about to pick up the packaging to have a read when they called to say my prescription was ready, so I can't remember what it was called sorry, but you could always check out your local chelist or maybe even supermarkets.
Thanks for all the replies. I had lost a bit of tooth/filling and that was why I raised the topic but managed to get a quick appointment with my dentist who did a filling for me yesterday, so hopefully no need to try out the expertise of a French dentist so thanks again.
