Hi all,
I am planning to go to Cornwall in August on my own for a few days. I have never been and I am just looking for some advice on where to stay and what to see. Or if anyone knows of any good websites for reference.
Thank you so much :)

Fowey is a beautiful little town, great for shopping, eating and ambling.
Personally I don't rate Padstow/Padstein.
Austells in Carlyon Bay, St Austell is a very, very good restaurant.
Fifteen at Watergate Bay is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Good food and a brilliant view of the surfers.......

I tend to stay here (there's a site my mum knows that has little shalley things and is dog friendly) and you can walk to penzance along the beach... although you have to get off a bit near penzance station... but you can then get back on. There's loads of buses from penzance to other parts of cornwall as well.

No I don't rate Padstow either, other than Ainsworth.
Newquay to be avoided.
St Ives - enter by train - wonderful galleries if you like that sort of thing and a great beach café for a leisurely lunch at Portminster Café - disadvantage is that there will be hordes of people around.
Mousehole, glorious but I'll take that in the e-mail....
