whats Majorca like in early October

Can anyone tell me what majorca is like in early october, im wanting to go this year for a holiday, are the shops and bars till open as i know it wont be in season and also what will the weather be like.

I can't tell you about Majorca, but I can tell you that most of Menorca shuts at the end of October - we've been in November and it was shut. the weather was lovely but I'm told it normally rains then!

They weather may still be nice and warm but it is very likely to rain. It will get dark very early and there will be far fewer shops and bars open. But it won't be crowded with tourists. I always think the local bar/restaurant staff/shopkeepers are fed up at this time of year at the end of the season - their enthusiasm has worn off and the service isn't so good. Everything seems a bit tired. Sorry!! :o(

All depends what resort your going to. Magaluf/Palma Nova will be more busy than Alcudia. As said weather will be warmish, but expect to have rain normally drizzel clearing.

The holiday flights usually stop mid-October so it will be end of season but lots of people live there so there will still be plenty open. The weather will be pot luck, still warmish, maybe hot, maybe rain, maybe sunny!
I'm a beach bum so wouldn't consider going there that late.

I have been last week Sept first week Oct, weather was pretty good although we did have some rain.

I only go to any hot countries out of season. It would suit me just fine. But then I don't like tourists, nightclubs, etc. And you can always find good local bars and restaurants that the locals use (which are probably better) Although I love sunshine really hot weather doesn't suit me at all and I don't do beaches except in the evening when it's nice to walk along them when they are empty.
