Its years since I flew, can I buy food at the airport to eat on the plane, rather than buy food on the flight?

Thank you.
The airport stuff is expensive but the food on the plane is super-expensive.
I took some cereal bars with me in my hand luggage recently (not bought at the airport) and had no problems.
I normally take crisps, maybe 2 sausage rolls and a couple of sandwiches, plus a small bottle each of our choice. Why waste money ay x

also some companies have 'train buffet-style' sarnies and pasties etc aboard! still poor value though! when i flew thompson we starved all the way to egypt!
Starved all the way to Egypt? A five hour flight??
As others we take food prepared at home.Sandwiches pasties etc. Bottled drinks departure side is a lot more expensive. What we did for or younger members of our family recently was take fruit juice in the allowed 100ml bottles and then bought a 1ltr bottle of water departure side and added juice to required taste.
