Have you been? Would you see everything if you went for half a day or is it more a whole day adventure?

Which day did you go and how crowded was it as i want to know whether it's better to go on a weekday or weekend.

Last question. Did any of you do the combo ticket ( With the london eye in particular ) Are the prices as stated on the website the best place to get tickets or are there any websites with vouchers i could use?

( I'll be going with my 3 year old niece )

Went quite a few years ago when my son was younger - definately not an all day adventure - in fact we did the whole tour in under an hour - in fact when we got to the exit, I said 'is that it'. That was also taking in the gift shop for the obligatory pencils, sharpeners and sea shells.

We went mid week - it was very interesting, but did'nt take as long as I thought. Though, perhaps, they may have added a few more fish now (:o(

I would combine it with the London Eye, to make a day of it.
it's not very big. London's not famous for fish unless you go to the chip shop, though there's at least an hour's worth to see.

There's a discount on the Eye till Sunday

but doesn't seem to include the aquarium. Depending what you want to do, the Eye is more fun than the aquarium
I loved sitting and watching the big tanks so I think we were there for about two hours. I've been on a weekday when it was lovely and quiet, and I've been on a Saturday when it was so full of pushing and shoving people with pushchairs that I couldn't leave quick enough. Plus if you go on a weekday on the train you can get 2 for 1 tickets. Or if you collect Tesco vouchers you can exchange for tickets as well I think (on the Tesco website before you go)
We went a couple of years ago on the 2 for 1 as part of a train deal. I was really excited to go and very disappointed. I agree with bushbaby, a couple of hours at most and we went on a Saturday and it was packed with pushchairs. The big tank and the shark tank were good but that was about it. I was stunned to walk through one area and find we were at the end. I expected so much more.
I don't know if it's still a feature but you used to be able to pet the rays in a big tank, a good half hour can easily lost doing that alone.....
It has been two years since my son, daughter and I went. However, we quite enjoyed it. It certainly does not take all day and I'd almost lay wager that a three-year-old's attention span would wane within a couple of hours anyway.
If she's a young three, you may be able to take her in for free, otherwise, prices apply.

There are two-for-one tickets available if you're travelling via National Rail. The same applies for the London Eye. If she's still awake after all of this, you might 'finish her off' with a saunter over to the London Transport Museum at Covent Garden. It's far more interactive for a small person. Yet when I did this, my daughter preferred the aquarium and my son preferred the museum. - Go Figure!

Book in advance, on-line, to get the best offer if you're not using any discount codes, etc.

Bon Journey!
Have a great trip!
I've a feeling we weren't allowed to pet the rays anymore (spreading germs and all that), couldn't get near them anyway.
When we went earlier in the year you could still pet the rays but the water smelt funny so I didn't want to put my hands anywhere near it! The Sea Life Center at Chessington is a bit better; they have a shark walk on a floating walkway over the massive tank, but not sure if there is an age limit on it.
