As the reserved seat allocation is being "rolled out" over the coming weeks throughout the Easyjet routes, then it may be that currently the airport at the start of your return journey doesn't have the facility to carryout the allocation process for the retun flight. Further info is here...

I do wish they wouldn't allocate seating, I think the current system allows for much quicker boarding. As it is, as soon as you are allowed to board, you get on, you stow your hand luggage, you sit down, and away you go. On flights with allocated seating, there are far to many people who can't understand how ABCDEF and 1234567 applies to them, and it takes them ages to find their seats. Theyn are also usually the people who for some reason don't understand how the overhead lockers work, and prevent everyone behind them from getting on whilst they fathom it out!!! Leave well alone!!!!
Nibble's probably right - but I can't disagree more with Lynda, I hate the rabble for seats on easyjet in the past. I much prefer to know where I'm sitting, rather than fighting in the aisles as we get on.
" I think the current system allows for much quicker boarding."
You may think that, but research shows that it's not the case.
You have to book seats for outward and return separately Go back on site click on manage my booking and go from there. Yo have only booked outward seats it seems.
Agree Lyndab. Have been flying Easyjet many years, and the current system works as well as it can. I am still amazed at why people, at the airport I use still all head for the front steps when the back steps arent used. I am on got my seat at the back and Im watching people choosing seats in the first few rows blocking the aisle stopping the rest getting on.
But saying that I have booked seats for my next flight. Im wondering If I will have to turf some one out of that seat
Oh, being in the Jetset is so glamorous.
Rojash, I don't think it, I've witnessed it loads of times. Hubby and I are frequent fliers and it always takes much less time to board when there are no allocated seats. Get on, sit down, fly away. Simples!
Free seating might be alright on small aircraft and short journeys but I`d hate to see that on a 747.
