Somewhere Hot In December

Anyone got any suggestions for somewhere nice and warm for a week just before Christmas? There will be 5 people - all adults. Any hotel recommendations would be great. Thanks

Mexico? The rate tourists are being raped, mugged and killed is alarming. I would not visit there even if I'm paid too. And the drug situation and drug cartels there is another story.

The Maldives are pretty good at that time of year, a long way for just a week though.

Red Sea resorts in Egypt are warm ~24C but the day length is relatively short.

Morocco. Lots of resorts to choose from. Some hotels on the edge of the Sahara. Depends how much money you have to spend. The Movenpick in Tangier is amazing.

Talk about tarring a whole country with the same brush.

Mexico is a huge country and it is not all like that.

That would be like saying because of the high murder rate in say New York you wont go to San Francisco.

We were in a gated resort, and every person and vehicle going in was checked.

I felt very safe all the time I was there.

Please dont let a few isloated cases put you off.

Cancun is very safe, the mexican people very friendly and really enjoy giving everyone a good holiday.

Dont let one person's irratonal ranting put you off.

might wanna be quick though, flights are selling fast as everyone wants some winter sun. i would say try not to come back within the 1st week of jan or prices will be pretty high.

somewhere hot in december? depends what your price range is as that will be the factor that helps on where you should go. - im a travel agent btw

My friend and family had a wonderfull holiday in Dubia last dec.
All inclusive and lovely and warm. Booked up again for this year.

Hi Budlet,

You mentioned Dubai and I thought i would offer some first hand experience.

I travelled there last December and can highly recommend it. Unlike other times of the year the humidity is low and the temperature is very comfortable, between 21-26 Celsius.

The beaches are of course incredible and the sea temperature is lovely and warm, all in all I highly recommend it for a winter break.
