Good luck, we would never leave our dogs behind.

it's notthat i'm sentimental about them ratter, it's just that kennels cost more than our holiday does!
Ok, fair enough lol

We have always said: if we cant take our dogs then we wont go.
We can probably stay in almost any country in the world thanks to a close knit circle of wolfhound friends, we are always getting invites!

i'm not sure i could afford passports for us all
Friends took their dogs to Woodlands Lodge Hotel where they had a suite with its own enclosed garden, from where you went through the hotels communal garden and straight into the New Forest. If you can afford to go upmarket, Eastwell House in Kent has lovely converted stables wher you can have dogs with you.
Oh Bednobs I am so surprised you are NOT sentimental about your poor wee dogs - are they neglected like mine.
Question Author
when i say not sentimental i mean, i could happily leave them in kennels for a week
I am kidding you Bednobs over my posting yesterday re my dog - I loathe him being in the kennels cos I know they don't get the warmth and compassion like they do at home.

But I have found a nice lady - she is going to be expensive but what the hell.
There used to be a poster on here who used to to some chalets with 'the girls' in South Shields, I think? I'm sure they catered for dogs...?

Failing that, have a look on http://www.hoseasons.co.uk/ as they have some places (lodges, cottages, caravans) which are suitable for pets.
Just select from the menu which area you want, select how many adults/children, and then how many pets.

:-)

In my area (I think your near) dog sitters advertise on shop notices. They would probably work the dogs from your home, as there are 3.
Not sure I'd want a random in my house, although dog sitters can be a good idea - if they can accommodate.
To find caravan sites which accept dogs, use the search facility here:
http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/calcdist.asp
That will lead you to loads of possibilities, usually with plenty of reviews. You'll also find links to the websites of the caravan parks (or at least an email address) so that you can check to see if there is a limit to the number of dogs that you can take with you.

My elderly friend has two large English Setters. She takes her holidays here
http://www.cliffhouseholidays.co.uk/
in this modern, well-equipped unit:

(There are only a few units at that park which accept dogs, so early booking is required)
