Traveling With Diverticulitis

Any advice about traveling with diverticulitis? Diagnosed with diverticulitis two days ago, and we are scheduled to go to China and Thailand for 3 weeks in two days. Doctor has prescribed antibiotics for 20 days and strongly advises on traveling to these countries because of possible complications. Hate to cancel our trip for a second time having spent a great deal of time and resources in preparing for the trip.

I do not think that you could get the right advice regards your condition on here, I would listen & take the advice from your G.P.

I have to agree with TWR, your doctor knows better than anyone here will do how bad your condition is.

You should be able to get your money back if a doctor has told you not to go (depending on the terms of your trav3el insurance).
