They are all very good but I like Alum Chine .The White sands are axcessed from the chine.A Short walk from Westbourne. There's also a long Wooden rope Bridge Which is amazing surrounded by tall trees.Winston Churchill fell of this bridge when he was a nipper. And I Will be popping down to see my mum for a Week in august.Sorry a bit to much imfomation(:)
Studland Bay, no contest.
Alum Chine is very nice.  but I didn't think Studland was in Bournemouth, I though it was more weymouth way, a bit shingley but nice. Also if you fancy a drive go to Kimmeridge bay.
The questioner said "the Bournemouth area" Studland is just over the ferry from sandbanks which is joined to Bournemouth beach although it is technically Poole.
It's not shingly and it's about 30 miles from Weymouth.
sorry everybody, I have lived in dorset all my life and I haven't a clue where anything is.  I am mistaking it for a totally different beach. sorrreeeeee.
I'd recommend Boscombe. You can park right by the beach. Studland is nice but often very seaweedy (if that bothers you) and can take ages to get to on a hot, busy day.
