My travel agent has just called to say that they have double booked the 2 bed, self catering villa i booked to stay in on 15th aug for 2 weeks and can put me in a Twin bed b & b instead. i said no thanks i booked a villa and i want a villa. They said that i wont get compensation as the b & b is better than self C so that cancels out the fact that im going from a villa into a room! My options are cancelling free of charge, changing to a different holiday and paying the difference if its more or taking their option. Ive asked them to find me another villa in the same place and i dont expect to pay anymore. I booked it 3 weeks ago. I dont think a twin b & b is the same as a villa! Does anyone no if i have any rights or any suggestions of what i can do? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Aliflump, some years ago,I was double booked, and was being asked to pay for an upgrade, because nothing similar to what I had originally booked was available. I was advised to contact A.b.t.a. Association of British Travel Agents. They sorted the problem for me,because the double booking was the agent's fault, and therefore up to them to provide what I had wanted.Check out their website for address etc.Good luck!
