Covent Garden ....

Need a decent but competitively priced hotel or B&B in Covent Garden .... sick of going in circles on comparison websites as they all change prices every time I look ................ any recommendations? Please don't give links to comparison sites etc as have done all that - looking for personal recommendations/local knowledge please!

Covent Garden itself has hardly any hotels or B&Bs.
However the Strand Continental has received lots of positive comments here on AB, and it's right on the edge of Covent Garden:

(Several people have stated that they've booked at lower than the hotel's advertised 'rack rates' by looking for the hotel on 'late booking' websites).

We found the Celtic Hotel quite adequate (we asked for a quiet room at the back). It's just behind the Russell hotel on Russel Square and 2 minutes' walk to Russell Square Tube station (2 stops to Covent garden).
