Need to renew two passports and have decided to just get the forms from the post office - how do I actually pay for them (I don't have a cheque book). Thanks.

You can pay for it at the post office I think.

I think there also might be one of those slips where you fill in your card details.
Debit Card if you have one
I'm sure you just put debit card details on the form, else good old fashioned postal orders

Thanks all, I have found the info know (debit card details on the actual form).
If you apply direct to the passport office you can pay by Debit Card or Credit card. If you want to pay using cash you can only do this by using the Post Office "check & send" service which costs you an extra £8.75.
Just a tip on your Passports Sherr, Photostat a copy of your details> ID No etc, in case you loose them abroad, I carry one copy, my wife carries one copy, it saves a lot of problems should you ever loose them.

That's a good idea TWR - would hate to lose seven passports (would be a nightmare).
As long as you have your Photo + No/ if you ever have to go to the B.Embassy anywhere in the world, you do not get half of the problems.
as well as carrying photostats of your passport, scan them in and email them to yourself, so you can access them abroad.
