For those lucky to have had a holiday this year, UK or overseas. Have you visited somewhere you have not been before. Would you return/not go again. And why?

New York - probably not. Very tiring, expensive and too many other places to see.
Turkey - probably. Very nice people.
Portugal - Lagos- March this year.

I'd go back tomorrow if I could - and will definitely be back next Spring.

The happiest, friendliest place I've been for ages - and the bird-watching was great too
We're going to Portugal in September. We've been before and it's the only place we have re-visited! We went to Madeira last year and would go back there as well.
We went to Madeira a couple of years back...while the island is really beautiful I just HATED it!
Will not be going again!!!!
I haven't had a holiday for several years now. I used to go twice a year but I'm not fussed if I have a holiday or not now. I would happily go back to Cornwall though as I love it there. Haven't been abroad for 5 or 6 years now and on the way back we had really bad turbulence it put my off flying :o(
I've not been on holiday for 4 years but, if I can join in, I went to Toronto after my brother's wedding out there to spend time with a good friend I hadn't seen since uni. I wouldn't be fussed about Toronto again, save to see my friend (would rather go back to San Francisco or New York again, city wise) but would love to travel up to the more French Canadian parts, Quebec, Montreal and Ottowa though that would take some serious saving.
I went to Madrid for 3 days a month ago and I can't wait to go back!

There are lots of attractions but it really helps if you like art. The Museo del Prado is unmissable, The Museo Nacional Centro de Art Reina Sofia (modern art) is stunning, if somewhat confusing at times! But my absolute favourite has to be the Museo Sorolla:

There's great food available (at surprisingly low prices) everywhere and getting around couldn't be easier. (The Metro system is modern, efficient and, importantly, fully air-conditioned).

Best of all though, my hotel was absolutely wonderful. It was a little 6 room pensión with an incredibly friendly and helpful manager, just 100m off the Gran Via, with TV, air-conditioning and free wifi. It was spotlessly clean and (because it was up on the 4th floor) nice and quiet. All for just €22 per night!
Just got back this morning from our holiday. We flew to Swizterland and hired a car then drove over the Alps to an Italian beach resort where we stayed for a week. What a holiday! I would definitely do this again. I cannot tell you how beautiful Switzerland was - towering mountains still with snow on, ice blue lakes, waterfalls falling over sheer cliffs. We saw chalets and cows with bells round their necks and even visited a glacier. Then we had a lovely relaxing week in the sun. Fantastic!
So many places.....so little time (and money!)
I haven't travelled for years but to see the changes, I would go back to
Hong Kong
Singapore
Thailand
New Orleans

I would like to chase the fall in New England including a visit to LL Bean and do a Europe canal cruise but have no one to take care of my dogs.
Just returned from the Isle of Man. This was our third visit (in four years) to this delightful & unspoiled island. We enjoyed fantastic weather, clear skies and Mediterranean-blue seas. There is so much to see on this island and yet it isn't far to travel from place to place. Home to the Manx TT and Manx Grand Prix, it is best avoided during one week in June and one week in August.

The fuchsia bushes growing wild everywhere are a clue to the island's mild climate.

We'll be returning next year for eight or ten days of our holiday, probably in July, and will be taking our car from Liverpool on board the Manannan hovercraft.
We have been to Borneo - absolutely loved it, and would go back tomorrow if I could.
On the train from Toronto to Vancouver, February. No, I wouldn`t do it again as it`s one of those things you do once. We were 19 hours late into Vancouver and they gave me vouchers for another ride (minus accommodation) but I won`t use them as I can`t really be bothered.
We took our children to Wembury in Devon when they ere young. Went back with daughter, SiL and their children a few years ago.
Would go back again.
I used to live just down the road from Wembury DaisyNonna and it is lovely.

My input. Portugal Have been twice this year. People very friendly including those in the shops. Will go back.
Ibiza. Might return one day, but not to Santa Eulalia. Too many restaraunts,(OK for sitting in people watching all night. Not my cup of tea) not enough entertainment for my age group.
Valencia. Have been twice, once for the Fallas. hope to go back one day.
Cyprus. Hope to visit one day. visit places I spent when I was a youngster.
I go to Menorca twice a year every year, I've found my paradise. One place I wouldn't go back to by choice is Tenerife, bit tacky (where I went) and the rolling Atlantic is not to my taste.
Sri Lanka - paradise on earth.

Fuerteventura - my one and only experience of the Canary Islands. Never again.
I have been fortunate enough to visit Japan, albeit for only 8 days.

I would love to return one day to explore more of the country, perhaps on a tour this time.
