We are off to New York for the first time in a few weeks for 5 days and I want to book something or plan something special for my Husband to be. He is a geek at heart. Loves Star Wars, Comics, Computer Games etc... But is not a music fan at all. Besides the typical places and tourist haunts any suggestions for something I could arrange as a surprise whilst there, maybe something we couldn't do in the UK. I did think about Helicopter ride but after some digging this is no no.
That is one of the more important things on our list. I really want to seek out the less touristy bits to be honest. This holiday means a lot to both of us and I want to try and make it the trip of our lives if possible.
If you are there on a Sunday then the Sunday brunch in the revolving restaurant in the Marriott hotel in Times Square is pretty amazing. You won't need to eat the rest of the day!
You MUST do the helicopter ride. It's amazing and then afterwards take a walk to Harry's bar in Lower Manhatten (about 10 mins) and have a few bevvies and a nice meal whilst rubing shoulders with the Wall St glitterati. It's not snobby or exclusive just really relaxing and friendly with a hint of sophistication.
