Bus Information
Mini Rant. Today I waited at a London bus shelter for a specific bus number. It eventually came up on the information board as 'Due'. It arrived 10 minutes later all the while showing it as due. Meanwhile it is telling me about buses that will arrive in 26 minutes. Is there any point to having these things? They're about as useful as the 'Open' buttons on Tube train doors that have never been put into effect.

I was sitting at a bus stop and two buses failed to appear on time. I might be still there if a woman across the street hadn't called across that there was an unofficial strike and all the services had stopped.
It didn't stop the display telling me that one was due and then a few minutes later another was due in 20 minutes.

Major rant.....I was standing in the queue at the bus station today waiting for the driver to open the doors. After they had been opened the queue started moving forward, and I was busy reading messages on my mobile.
The people immediately in front of me were waiting for the next bus and when I looked up there was my bus.........GONE.....grrrrrr!

The moral there is concentrate on what you are doing and stop flaffing about with inane text messages.
Never mind, Edmund, this will not be a problem for too much longer. I assume you're talking about the bus information system in London. If you are, the displays at bus stops are gradually being discontinued. So many of them have been vandalised that the decision has now been taken that as they break (or, more usually, get broken) they will not be replaced.

Bus finally arrived after 25 mins - it was 20 mins late - rang the bell to signal my wish to get off at the next stop - the bus driver ignored my request and carried on to the next stop! I had to walk back half a mile with a large bag of shopping!! and I've had no reply to my email of complaint !!! gggrrr !!
