Can anyone tell me what the beaches are like in Nice. My friend told me they are very rocky, is this true. I had imagined them to be very beautiful. Has anyone been there?

Yep they are rocky.  I should know, because I slept on one when I was travelling!

Very stoney, and a lot of private beaches - they have loungers and umbrellas and are expensive. Some parts are for public use, but not very comfy unless you take something padded to sit on. Definately no good for building sandcastles.
