I need to leave for  Newcastle next friday morning/afternoon.  I've heard of some website where you can share a car and all you pay is petrol money?  I'd quite like to do that.  If not, what about that coach for �1?  Do they go to Newcastle?  At the last resort, I suppose I'd have to take coach.  What's the dirt cheapest option?

You never said where you are traveling from but megabus definetly stops at Newcastle sometimes just a pound for one way happy googling

Gateshead is the other side of the river Tyne from Newcastle, anyway Megabus go from London to Newcastle, the price next friday one way is �11-�12 a seat plus the booking fee. Have a look http://www.megabus.com/
