cancelling holidays

I booked a holiday today by telephone,  I was given incorrect information relating to the accommodation.  I tried to cancel the holiday, but was told I couldn't.  The holiday is in 12 days time.  I booked the holiday by mastercard.  Can I cancel this holiday??

It is rather close to be cancelling and wanting the money back. If i was you i would contact mastercard and see if they can help stop the payment, good luck
some credit cards/banks will refund you if you have to cancel a holiday, you could check if yours is one of them but if they say you can have a refund and you plan to cancel the holiday check, check and check again that you will actually get your money back, as my mums credit card company told her she would get a refund if she cancelled our holiday and they assured her she would, we then cancelled the holiday and after about 10 phonecalls they finally gave us about �150 as a goodwill gesture as the person who said we would get a refund shouldn't have done so, we ended up losing about �1500
