Skiing

My Partner and I along with 2 friends want to try our first skiing holiday next year.  None of us can ski and so wanted advice on the best 'novice' resort, their weather and facilities etc.  We would also prefer a chalet - any advice/thoughts would be great, thanks!

Try chamonix or andorra, chamonix has very good instructors and andorra is very cheap to learn and quite good snow too! try looking at prices at www.chamonet.com

Yep, Chamonix is wonderful, as is Tignes, but really any resort you go to will have perfectly good resources for first-time skiiers. Just make sure you book some beginner lessons!

I have been to Chamonix several times, but if you look in the bochures it is genrally not recommended for beginners, try about ten miles away like Les Contamines, or St Gervais, then if you take to it relly quickly youcan take trainup to chamonix (about 20mins away)
