Hotels In Birmingham

Anyone know of any resonably priced hotels/travel lodges near to the Q E hospital in Birmingham? Thanks.

It's not for me. Himself has to have an angiogram and will probably have to stay till 9pm (missing last train to Hereford) so he needs a hotel room for the night.

It's routine Tony. Been today for his pre-op check, then back on December 13 for an angiogram and then hopefully (fingers crossed) - discharged!

actually

stay in the centre - Station hotel or Ibis - near china town
and then take the frequent buses along Bristol Road

If you stay here for the night on 13th Dec, you can catch the 98 or 99 Bus from the QE Hospital back to the City Centre. They run every 10 Min.

The Cotteridge area of Birmingham is just a short bus ride from the QE and has a lot of B&Bs along the Middleton Hall/Bunbury Road. They are located near to King's Norton railway station.

I would personally go for the town option, the university train station and the 99 bus stop are close to the hospital and there is more choice of good hotels in the city centre.

the travel lodge at rubery will require a bus trip from the QE
