Iguazu Falls

Anybody been? Am going for 2 nights mid-Feb staying on Argentinian side, any got any recommendations for be things to do as am getting confused looking at Trip Advisor reviews?

Hi went to the Falls about 10 years ago - not sure what you mean by things to do as when we were there only thing to do around the area was the falls we spent a full day there and then went back into Brazil from Argentina. You have to be really careful that you have all the correct paperwork - it may have changed but was confusing crossing the border as we didnt have correct papers and were not advised at the bus station.

Hi Memore. There seem to be a lot of trips/tours available, and am not sure which is best.

The falls are massive and have extensive walkways which allow you to get close-up views of the "action". Make sure you visit the Brazilian side as well as it is just as good as the Argentinian side and gives you a different perspective. Take a boat trip - it's really exciting but be prepared to get absolutely soaked!

If you have been to Niagara and were impressed, you will be gobsmacked by Iguazu

The boat trip is well worth while. The first look at the falls as you approach from the river is spectacular. And do look at the falls from the Brazilian side as well.

years ago and things might have changed, but from the Argentine side you could go out on a walkway for a good view of the Devil's Throat, the biggest and noisiest bit. You can also visit some of the smaller and prettier side falls, and even walk across the top of them (water flow there isn't fast or deep).

From Brazil, you can go down a path by the hotel and look up at another side fall, one with a heavy flow. It's worth doing this if you have the time, but don't fret if you haven't, you'll see plenty on the Argentine side.

Helicopter flights may be available on one side or the other, and they provide excellent views (assuming they keep their windows clean).

Thanks for all your replies (I love Niagara Falls and have been 3 times) so should have fun. Am prepared to get wet!
