Passport Timing

anyone who has had a passport lately, how long between the office cashing hte cheque and the passport arriving?

I sent off four passports last Tuesday and they processed payment for one of them on Friday. I will subscribe to this and let you know when they get here.

Don't know about that. The passport office seems to be very strict on the smallest thing.

We recently had renewals done and that was quick and from what I recall of the original applications that was about 7-10 (working) days from cashing the cheque to the passports dropping through the letterbox. If your payment has been taken from your bank account then expect the passports shortly.

my thought is they wouldn't have cashed it if i'd mucked it up

If it really is your very first ever passport then you'll need an interview too - they won't just send you a passport. That appointment could take 4-6 weeks i believe.

Is it for you, or your child? If you - did you have a children's passport previously? Why do you think you won't need an interview if it really is your first EVER passport? The interviews aren't just for foreigners....

Hi, just to let you know that three of my passports arrived today (titchy bit concerned about the whereabouts of the fourth).
