Windermere. The town or the lake.

There is Lake Windermere.

The town beside the lake is called Bowness on Windermere.

And the town a mile or so from the lake (near the train station) is called Windermere.

Why not go on Trip Advisor, there you can see the most popular B&Bs for an area and also read reviews.

Here is a list of B&Bs and Inns in Windermere. Not sure if it includes Bowness which is nearer the lake.
