Tintagel add in Port Isaac (crammed with Doc Martin fans), Port Cove (beautiful inlet to the south of Isaac, and St Enedoc, esp the church in the middle of the golf course (a great links) - Betjeman is buried there.

Eats if money is no object, Nathan Outlaw has a 2 star in St Enedoc, better value perhaps is Paul Ainsworth No 6 in Padstow - I avoid Stein City (Padstow) as I think it's way over-priced in all his outlets.

St Tudy Inn, St Tudy is good food and Sunday lunch, a little quirky on the owner, very ordinary looking pub from the outside...that's just north of Wadebridge.

The Wayside Museum at Zennor is very interesting. Is it still there DT?

Get the train from St Erth to St Ives - lovely views of the beaches.

National Trust? Anthony, which seems a strange name for a house, featured in Alice in Wonderland. Jamaica Inn is round there too.

If you can afford it go to Tresco in the Scilly Isles if you love beautiful gardens. We went by helicopter (the flight was a gift) but I don't think that runs now so have to use the ferry?

Yes, Ann, it is. Jamaica Inn - just off the A30 and overrun by Japanese with cameras and copies of du Maurier. Rashleigh Arms, near Fowey, is right under her old house. Plume of Feathers in Mitchell, good to eat in.

Jamaica Inn is some 20 miles from Anthony - lovely dovecote in the gardens there....

The village of Goldsithney has an "open gardens" day, good to look around, nice pub for lunch.

Don't forget the wonderful scenery on The Lizard peninsula and also the Minack open air Theatre overlooking Porthcurno beach - beautiful!

Drive down the Lizard to the end. Beautiful location and wonderful sea views and walks. Also first class cafes at Lizard Point !

By the way, don't bother with Lands End, at least not during the day. Its very commercialised and just not worth the effort. But in the evenings it can be lovely, when all the tourist traps are closed.

Go to Mousehole (a little village with a harbour). It's beautiful!

An...yes it is and you can visit the Tinners at Zennor at the same time !

You know there is so much to do in that part of Cornwall, that you won't want to come home. Beware that the Jamaica Inn is quite far away from Penzance and is best visited on your way home.
