A couple of weeks ago I enquired on here about travelling on crutches from Ireland to Leeds via Manchester, and got some excellent advice about assisted travel. Just thought I'd report back with terrific praise for the service offered. From Cork Airport to Manchester Airport to Manchester Railway Station to Leeds - all the way through - the staff took marvellous care of me, and the operation worked like clockwork. My feet (only one of which is currently working) never touched the ground.

I could not praise the staff enough. They are obviously under constant pressure, but treated me (and my husband) with dignity, respect and humour.

I would recommend their services to anyone.

I'm glad. It's heartwarming when they treat you so well.

What airline was it?

Aer Lingus, but I think it was OCS (don't know what that stands for) who were the outfit at both Cork and Manchester airports organising and carrying out the operation. They were frantically busy. Unbelievably so.

The train people were from Trans Pennine Express

Thanks for the feedback; I'm pleased that it worked out well for you.

(Note to self: That's someone else who owes me a pint!)

;-)
I wish they were that good at Heathrow. Well, they are good when they eventually turn up (if at all)
