I've got to book some flights to Germany for our MD cos his secretary is on hols but I haven't got a clue where the nearest airport is to Bayreuth and don't know where to look to find out!

Hi there,

I have done a quick "Google" for you, and there IS an airport at Bayreuth.However it appears to be only used for Domestic Flights (3 times daily) from Frankfurt,so you will have to book your MD on a flight to Frankfurt,and then onward to Bayreuth.I have found a link that may be useful, and even if it isn't,at least now you know where Bayreuth is,and how to get there by plane!

This is a good sight for flights to Frankfurt (many flights daily) just make sure of a good (short waiting time) connection to Bayreuth,or your MD may have to twiddle his thumbs at Frankfurt.BTW Lufthansa do not fly to Bayreuth!

Try getting a flight to Nuremberg (aka N�rnberg). It's nearer than Frankfurt and about an hour and a half by train to Bayreuth.

Thanks guys, I searched for about an hour this afternoon and told him he'd have to fly to Nurenberg then arrange for transport to Bayreuth but he didn't believe me he kept saying 'what about Munich?'!! Grrrr know it all bosses!!!
