Why Is It Always Thundering In Barcelona????

i have been checking accuweather for last few weeks and i swear every time i look its thunderstorms everyday!! we go on saturday..and was looking good,but now ive just checked and surprise surprise thunder for the 3 days im there!! please tell me its not true!!!!

Is it near the Pyrenees? I used to holiday in Argeles sur Mer at the foot of the Pyrenees and we had spectacular lightening storms bouncing around the mountains.

We've had some terrific thunder storms here but fortunately they've been at night (2am to be precise). Sunday was an electrical storm that for 10 minutes you thought it was daylight.
I wouldn't worry too much, if it's only forecast storms then they usually are a tremendous downpour, 30 mins of deafening thunder, lightning then they go out to sea. Because we're sheltered by the hills, it rolls around for a bit. But after about an hour you wouldn't even know it had rained.
Be prepared for the humidity though, its playing havoc with my hair!

They always happen at this time of year, signals the end of summer, though it doesn't really get really cold until January

How bizarre, just looked too on accuweather..it says storms until tuesday and saturday sunny, but when I look on where I live in Barcelona it says sunday is sunny and monday and tuesday cloudy.....strange

the weather reports seem all over the place!! oh well we will have to find shelter in a bar with a jug of sangria.....its a hard life! lol...
