How many days long will your journey be ? How many miles ? How many are going ? How often do they like to eat ? What else will you be spending on, on route ?

Pure guess, how about £25/person per day ?

where from, what route are you planning on? Without more info noone can really help.

I am not sure rupees will be of any use on the journey to India. I'd just take £20 to cover drinks at tehe airports en-route plus whatever you need for taxis to teh airport and for a txi home on the return leg.

Since it is about twice as far as going to Cairo, I reckon you can't go far wrong by doubling the amount you took on that trip.
