rather like the post a few down, i'm planning a trip away 3-4 nights for my birthday Around easter time but end march - first few weeks in may OK. Unlike her, i'm leaving my 2 year old with her grandparents and also unlike her i'd like to go to yorkshire. Don't really know what i want to do, but walking very far is out (wandering round a bit might be ok, or wheelchair accessble also good)
wouldn't mind seeing some coastline, as well as some countryside. Bearing in mind the time of year, the weather's probably not great (although my neighbour from ilkley informed me today, the sun is always shining in yorkshire).
Can anyone suggest an itinerary? or give suggestions where i might stay , that's easy to get to other places of interest too? also hotels - would pay up to £120 a night for 2 of us, but would probably want to spend less if poss. We'll be travelling by car from the south-east.

Filey is a nice seaside town with an excellent caravan park which has wonderful views. Also nice little B & Bs.
Wherever you decide to go, I wish you a great time. xx
Think about Harrogate ! Beautiful town ....worth going, just to have tea in Bettys alone !

Agreed Mikey, but York and Leeds are worth visiting too.
The difficulty is that Yorkshire, being Gods Own Country, has an abundance of wonderful places to visit ! But Harrogate would be a good place to be based, with easy access to Wharfdale, which I think is just too beautiful for words !
