Lost Passport

I recently had my passport stolen in Spain,on obtaining a temporary passport I was told I would have to pay 68 Euros.as I had all my cash taken as well,I was told I could pay when I arrived back in the UK.Can anyone tell me how or where to pay it?I wouldn't normally be worried but I cannot apply for a new passport until this bill is paid.There is no info on the passport agency website.

You could ask at the post office as they have all the forms and things for obtaining a new passport.

I wouldn't call the passport people though as before you can even speak to a human an automated voice tells you to get your credit card out because you are going to be charged for the privelidge!
