temporary passports

i dropped my passport in the water, so i'm a bit worried if i will get thru with it at the airport. im flying from stansted airport in london to sweden. Is there a change that u can do a temporary passport at the stansted airport?

Did you dry it out straight away, or is it damaged? I soaked my weeks wages and passport in the sea in France when a wave swept me off my feet, but dried them out on the bonnet of our car under the red hot sun. No permanent damage and have had no problem with the passport nor with spending the money
