London Fayres ( Contactless Payment)

Do i need to register my debit card to enable me to use contactless payments for tube and bus journeys whilst in london for 2 days this week? Been reading bits and bobs on TFL website and im unsure????? And panicing!!! Yikes

even when strikes are on, there's usually a service, but with fewer staff and so fewer trains; so aim to avoid rush hours. The Jubilee line is the only one going to North Greenwich for the O2, but if that's looking really dire you could always take the cable car across the river to the Dockland Light Railway (which may not be affected by the strike) or else a Thames Clipper boat back into town

The interchange between Jubilee and Piccadilly lines at Green Park is all underground but quite a long walk all the same.

ASLE&F have just confirmed, the strike is "on".

you can only tell on the day; even if the strike is on, you often get quite a few drivers turning up. I'd certainly be planning alternative routes, though. Riverboat trips in summer can be very pleasant.

ive been on google maps after deciding that we are going to get the 188 bus to the arena ..........but for the life of me cannot work out how the bus end up at greenwich station which is OVER the river very confused lol

do allow as much time for everything as you possibly can, strikes snarl up the streets something awful

hopefully this is my last problem now i am trying to find out how i can pay for the riverboat journey from north greenwich pier to embankment pier. can i pay for it with my debit card. or do i have to pre book on line. it mentions oyster cards etc theres no contact number for me to ring and ask.

you can buy them on the pier (assuming the offices are open) or on board; I'm pretty sure you can use debit cards because as I recall they have ticket machines. But I could be wrong there. Hopefully this will bump your question onto Latest Posts and you'll get a more confident answer from someone.
